Angelfish Bright blood red eyes

1/7/2012, 10:20 by Anonymous

Hi last night we re-scaped our 450L tank and moved the angels from this tank to the 200L,

Shortly the transfer after i noticed one of the angelfish i bought from paddock farm as leopard blue angels had bright blood red eyes that really stood out, this morning i noticed one of the singapore blues from angelchris had gone the same.

A little curious and worried i had to google it, apparently this is not a bad thing but is good.

Heres a answer i found off 'yahoo answers:Most wild angelfish have red eyes, and, in tank-raised strains, bright, blood-red eyes are considered an extremely desirable characteristic. It is not a sign of illness or injury (if the eyes otherwise seem normal). Angelfish with red eyes are usually regarded as the most wers'attractive, and earn extra points in shows for this trait.

also noticed the big cobra is going the same and the apisto cacatoides has gone very bright too!!

So if your angelfish have bright blood red eyes keep doing what your doing!!
