ps...my 3 clomns did get into the filter box where the media and heater are a day or 2 ago and i only noticd the blemish today !...so maybe it is a possible explination ! that it may be heater burn !

thanks for the replies and the comments on the tank...ive always liked a well planted tank, its a bit of a fight with me & my wife...she says too many plants hide the fish...i say its more of a natural enviroment if its well planted...i guess its down to personal choice at the end of the day. thanks again guys for all the help ...bill

im with you on the planted tank, i prefer a natural looking environment. It brings out the colours of the fish more n its nicer to look at than a lot of fake ornaments and plastic Smile

I agree shell! Nothing worse than a downed submarine or a treasure chest, and don't get me started on pink gravel and spongebob squarepants! Natural all the way for me!

each to their own i say but you just cant beat the look of real plants, real wood and rocks....i love the jungle look of a tank, seeing the fish emerge from a lush green clump of plants is fantastic and its not that difficult to keep plants lush and healthy...i generally gauge my tanks health on how my plants do..if they are sprouting and doing well then there cant be much wrong with the water quality can there !....where do you guys buy plants from ?...i start off with buying my first lot from java plants then take cuttings and replant them
