my poor male betta..

my big blue boy with the lovely flowing fins is being picked on by the females.
his fins have been shredded literally overnight. not rot but torn & ripped. not coloured edging to the damage so i
dont think its any sort of disease. and i have witnessed one particular agressive female nipping him.
she also killed one of the other females. i need to rehome her but in the mean time i have him in the net floater and am using antibacterial treatment to help him along just in case.
anyone want a mean ass female? very pretty blue/lavender colour...unlikely i know but gotta try something.

pretty sure. but not 100% tbh.
its attacking the other females too. has stripes horizontally and same shape body & fins as other females.
its been in ling enough now tho that surely i would have picked up on this before now? i spend hours staring at the tank.

and to top it all off my new betta has not arrived. we are forecast for temps of zero tonight and have already had hail and snow here.
should have been here thurs. can only track it as far as leaving portugal. once in the hands of royal mail they are claiming no record. am so p'd off and annoyed. poor thing has been in the bag since monday morning. ive sat in the house waiting for 2 whole days now. but nothing

have you been in touch with the seller to find out whats going on and which airport the fish will of gone to could still be at customs

Yeah been emailing him. He has given me track sets & I was able to confirm left capital of Portugal on 23rd. No info once it reaches royal mails hands tho.

Wow! This guys were big to start with! I think lfs fibbed about his age tho. We were told he was 7 month but size wise I reckon much older

I would imagine it would be hard to pin point an actual age to them they will rely on there supplier I suppose

thats a male you have not a female the fins are too big for a female and the head shape is a male i would seperate it or it will attack the rest the stripes are stress lines

Well it looks like I also have a male that was thought to be a female he is a lovely halfmoon male but was really disappointed as I thought it was a lovely female but never mind will put some pictures on later.
