It is the auction next week so I will keep any eye out for you as I got two nice pieces with java fern on at the last one as you probably won't be able to make it with family commitments but let me know.

the problem with bogwood debs is the waiting for it to soak and stop leeching tannins
once they have got to this stage it's well worth the wait however while you're waiting it seems like an absolute age!
best way is to soak in cold water and keep changing the cold water every day
the cheapest place I have found for bogwood is Horn's garden centre at shotton colliery
absolutely lovely place to visit on a sunny day (take a peek at the pictures on google)

oh ive got 2 lovely bits in main taank & know what you mean about the wait. looks great tho as my big bit is two tone in colour.
i had a huge bucket in garden for ages & must have used a lake full of water!"
my 2nd bit came straight out of friends tank govered in java. both sorts.
considered using that but my main tank looks good as it is and dont wanna mes with that now.
where the auction at? very much doubt will be there as hubby just moved shops this week. no harm in checking tho..

Cheapest place I've found for bogwood is pets at home in Teesside Park. You can get massive chunks for about a fiver and it's 3 for 2.
