although these are 8weeks old they are measuring on the scale at 6weeks on size. could be due to my inexperience more than anything else. dont mind as i am in no rush to see them grow asap. although i am eager to see what sexes i have so i can plan whether or not i can get another adult male!
i can use one or more tank seperator and have quite a collection of jars, i would really rather keep them in filtered heated water if possible.
i am really glad there are only a few of them as it was a nice easy intorduction to how to handle the fry. soon a large batch will come along and maybe i'll be able to use this experience and not have huge losses. then again i wouldnt know what to do with a full size batch...id have jars all over the house!

its not showing on the pics for some reason but i can clearly see red fins. couple of them have much darker longer ventral fins. suspoect these might just turn out to be males. these also have bulkier bodies than the others.
they could just be more developed. dont really mind but would love at least one male as offspring from my lost red fella.

Not surprised as a male would be a lovely reminder of dad

one of the bigger ones with more finnage is turning red. it has started to colour from its nose up and over irs back. its fins are already much more colourful than siblings.
loving the way they are developing almost in front of my eyes!

It's given me a lift in spirits as not expecting much from latest batch. Think male ate them possibly. He did need a lot of prompting from the female first to mate & then to collect eggs. Maybe better next time round.

Coming up to 10 weeks old.
Glad they finally catching up.
Think I may end up with a few males at least 3 look likely. Unusual colouring for make veils if they don't get redder bodies. Am trying to avoid jarring them as there only 5 but they keep escaping! Determinedlittle buggers!
