fluval vicenza 180 HELP
Hello.
Ive round a good deal on this tank.. The holes are drilled on the bottom of the aquarium on these tanks and the filter attachs through the holes.
My question do you need the cabnit to fit the filter to the tank ? Or can it be attached just hoses straight to the tank? The person im buying of its just the tank and fluval 205 that comes with it.
Basically does the cabnit come with a attachment you need or not?
Cheers. Marc.

Does not tell me for defo but looks like theres just holes through the cabnit and it can be setup without cabnit. What you think?

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
i should think the cabnit is a seperate item to the
tank and it just as holes drilled to allow the pipes
from the tank to pass through it

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
you would have to make a stand as the pipes come through the bottom of the tank and attach to the external filter
Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
yeah its a drilled tank i was looking at one
of them myself i was just dreaming as i could
never afford one the only thing that lets this set
up down in my eyes is the filter i don't care much
for the new fluval filters a eheim would be better suited

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
I agree with the filter seen many bad reviews and its also underpowerd for the tank. Got my self a bargain of £35 for the tank and £15 for filter. Only down side filter is leaking from where the top joins bottom just a little. Since iv read up online it always seems to be the rubber sealent which is only £5-6 so im going to give it a go anyway. Im picking it up tommorow so ill let you know how it goes.

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
go to dive shop at redcar and get some silicone grease
clean the seals up when dry and apply grease leave
for an hour and the seals will swell little and will make seal a lot better don't use any other grease as it
will contaminate the water

Re: fluval vicenza 180 HELP
Update!
I bought the tank and filter yesterday. Today I dicided to see what the leak on the filter was like before I bought a rubber seal. When the filter filled without power on the water started leaking out each side of the filter where the clips lock the top and bottom into place, there was no leaking around the sceme just where the clips lock it in place. I tryed lubricating the rubber ring but same again happend. Should I buy a new rubber seal. I dont think it is the seal but I could be wrong. When top.and bottom lock into place it doesnt look tightly fitted is this the problem?.
This is the fluval 205 im talking about.

I'd upgrade the filter myself. I have a 305 and I don't think is use the 205 on a 180 litre tank. Always best to overfilter if possible.

Cheers biffster!. I will post when I buy everything and start. This is the tank im using to breed dwarf snakeheads.
It will have black gravel, bogwood, stones a mixture of real plants and some floating plants. Thats the plan anyway.
