Why don't you do what most breeders do and buy young and about half a dozen of till they start pairing off themselves. If you buy a breeding pair of anything your not guaranteed them breeding.

i think Mrs biffster is right but don't go
in to try breeding things that are nearly
impossible i would start a dozen small angel fish
or kribs and start waiting for them to pair off
then move them in to separate tanks you could
try some herotilapia multispinosa or some convicts
to start with or maybe some jade eye cichlids

Kribs are a good starter. I've seen some albinos in teeside koi. Me and the biffster used to breed rainbow cichlids and we couldn't give them away. Now you can't get them for love nor money.

Bare in mind Fish dude when you start breeding cichlids you will have hundreds of them. That's when you start breeding tanks. :rotfl:
