Not much to really say its suitable for 300 litre tanks, plumbs into the external filter pipes. Is it worth having? well i took it off my tank and had no problems until recently with the fluffy algae. If i'd left the filter on i probably wouldn't have got the algae. Think its down to everyone personal choice.

If this is the case why haven't you put it back on your filtration system?

I upgraded to a bigger and better filter and didn't want to cut the pipes to fit it back in. like i said i think its down to personal preference best off asking around find people who use them and ask them about the good and bad points about them. I wouldn't want to sell it to someone who doesn't need or want one.

Thats why I'm asking the questions, you have more experiance with the units than I do and all information is a possitive step. I have been looking at these for a while as I know it helps with water quality, thats were my original interest came from. I am very interested, just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing, oh btw how old is it and has it every had the T5 UV bulb changed?

no idea how old the unit is itself as it came with one of my tanks but i replaced the bulb when i got it then it was used for just under 2 month before i took it off.
