tiger endlers

i recently got a couple of pairs of tiger endlers to go in my 2ft tank lovely litle fish all the females wer pregnant when i got them and one of them has just had some young yesterday i can only see about 4 young is this normal for them to only have that amount since they aint been in the tank long cheers

I've noticed the clutches vary in size. I've known mine only give birth to a tiny amount before.

Last week they've fired out close to 100, so be prepared for more lol

Mint, how many you got? I'm over-run with babies atm, I'll probably get rid of some when they get older.

well another female dropped loads of young today noticed that the bigger endler was eating most of the youg :S so decided to put the female into a breeding trap while she had the young then took her out abit late to find about another 15 young in the net result so going to leave them in ther for abit now till ther a bit bigger then just do this from now on, bit of a mess about catching them but well worth it Smile

very unusual as endlers rarely eat their young
but if yours are eaters then you do right using the breeding trap dene

ano i thought it was abit strange but wen one was spitting them out the other was eating them :S haha aw well found a solution to the problem Smile
