Lighting for 5x2x2 malawi tank

What would be the best lighting setup for my tank to bring colors out on my malawi and make the colors more vibrant? I currently have a 36w compact in their but their is shadows on both ends of tank

Am pretty sure its pink to bring the colours out and LED lights seem to be most cost effective at the moment try to consult with blooper hes just sorted his lights on the 9 footer

hi docker at the moment i'm using 2 x 24w t5 24 inch tubes ones pink ones white these are at one end of the tank and at the other end its an led tube that u can get from a camping shop its approx 3 ft long ,eventually i will be just using these led tube thingys at both ends of the tank reckon i need 4 in total will try to get a pic up for u to see

Ok thanks blooper are leds more efficient? Like the compacts

yeh leds are more efficient as wen i had my 6x2x2 it had 8x t5 tubes and the meter was spinning like hell

i am using a starter pack and a add on pack and have just ordered the same again for the other end of the tank

as u can see theres shadows but my frontosas are swimming about abit more now as the lighting seems not as bright
