how to rid of snails
in one of my tanks I have snails I found this on net you need 9 volt battrie like the ones used in smoke alarms 2 peices of copper wire and bit of tape or rubber band to hold wires in place one on - and one on+ about six inch of wire cross the two wires so the 2 are touching and the two ends are in water bend wires so battrie is out side tank so theres no chance of it doing any harm to fish I tryed this it got them down in numbers it does not harm fish it must zap the young snails it worked for me

Just use kusuri wormer plus and it kills almost all of them with one dose.

Re: how to rid of snails
People who use kusuri for discus worming sometimes even triple the dose with no ill effects. As long as your careful I don't see a problem. I had a slight problem with Malaysian trumpet snails and one dose of kusuri solved it.

Or do it the old fashioned way squash the snails on the side of the glass and watch the fish have a field day.

Re: how to rid of snails
water changes seem to kill them as well and crushing them on glass when you see them helps as well

try clown loach in the tanks helps or any kind of loach. and also watch if you using chemical to kill snails as dead snails have to be removed or you have big surge in ammonia and nitrite problems

Re: how to rid of snails
then when you get rid of snails your stuck with loach then you would have to getrid of loach by putting piranha in the tank then you stuck with a piranha then you would put shark in to get piranha then you stuck with that so I will stick with battery you can allways take it out put it in the draw

Fishtanker i think your bringing things way out of proportion there. Sharks don't live in the same stretch of water has piranhas.
