Absolute aquatics

Went today to pick up my crown tail. Tidy tanks & lovely helpfull chatty staff. Offered to post on here to let me know when my Khuli loaches come into stock.

Really hoping this fish lasts longer than the last ones I bought. Saying that I felt so much better on this visit that on the last one when boss on hols.
Very appreciative of forum discount. If this fish does well I plan on going back & spending some serious money!

Sorry to report for unkown reasons my female crown I bought on sat/dy is no more.

well as most of you know i have suffered some losses since above.
i do however just want to stress how great colin from absolute aquatics has been.
when i rang him to ask for help he could not have done more for me. he has offered me free treatments to try to prevent more losses. due to me having travel issues he also managed to get lorna and marty to drive the treatments over to me.
i would never expected that level of caring from a LFS. i am amazed and very grateful especially as it was not colins fault. he did everything he could and more. even rang the suppliers.
I have lost 3 female siames and today i lost my male. i also lost a couple of guppies. because colin was so great there is a good chance my losses may ease off now before i loose too much more of my stock.

i have got to give the guy 10/10 for effort and caring.

thats it debs there are some really good lfs but they are few and far between thanks colin and absoulute aquatics for all your help

Yes I can't stress enough how grateful I am to the store.
Didn't save my big red fella but at least I still have the community fish and a chance to start over with the Siamese.
He even got me the stuff I needed to sterilise my nets do I don't carry infection over to the Siamese fry.
So glad I have those wrigglers now. If I'm very lucky maybe I can hope for another special big red guy.
Yeah I'm a soppy lass when it comes to my red boys!

Can totally understand how you feel as I was gutted when I lost mine we get too attached lol

If I can go a day without loosing one I will be chuffed. Won't replace the lost Siamese straight away. Will start with a few male guppy. Only got 1 left and 8 female. Figure that will be good way to test clear of problems. Can loose guppy and not be too upset.
Think it's hit me most because had to sit kids down tonight & tell them no hope of our cat coming back now. Shitty week and they to young to understand

Yep your right it is and we just have to pick ourselves up and carry on which isn't easy at all hope the kids took the news ok but you never can really tell with kids and fingers crossed for the rest of the fish hope you have no more losses

Top bloke Col he really does look after his customer's.Unfortunatley some time's we do loose a couple of fish now and again.

But don't we with all lfs

i think i can say my problem is sorted now. thanks to all those who helped me.
now gonna start thinking about restocking.
am gonna start with guppies to be safe.
and its very very true you get losses with any lfs but its not neccesarily down to them. often it can be the supplier, stress or just plain bad luck
just some lfs are more supportive than others when you are trying to deal with the aftermath...and thats what really makes a shop in my opinion.

i agree colin from a a was glad he could help you to sort the problem out and he has red males in as well as females we where in there today and was over the moon you have had no more losses

Lol Colin had loads in and some really nice colours give him a ring and I am sure he will keep some aside for you he also had a couple of stunning red males in too and he is going to try and get some black males in they will be pricey but he is going to try

he is having an open day fint some time in october we are having a meet up when he gets the dates be great to see you there fint
