ph for malawi cichlids

how can you help to keep ur ph stable around the 8.5-9.0 mark any help for the future will help.
just want to make sure i know what im doing befor i go into malawis thanks.

ocean rocks and stones/ gravel can raise ph mate. stuff like wood peat moss will lower ph. im sure other people can give you me detail.

The crushed coral should help keep ur ph steady at around 8 ish then like Chris said ocean rocks etc etc... I mite b wrong and I'm sure somebody will correct me if I am but I don't think malawi's need the ph to b as high as 9, I think around 8 - 8.2 is about right, could b wrong tho

yea i think its about 8 for these just been readin up on them lol and i heard u can use bicarb soda aswell in water changes if anyone knows ?? how does it work ?? and cheers

orite then and gunner see about getting some lime stone suposed to help with hardness and ph and then got the coral gravel already and just use tha in the filter aswell to help buffer it lol

Mines 7.6 out of the tap, but its best to leave the water stand for 24 hours then test it again as it may change

use waterlife 8.3 ph bufer ideal for malawi and tanginikans mate
