Our New White Male

As some of you know mart won a bid on ebay for a white dragon male fighter well he arrived today and here is an early photo of him not the best but I will post more tomorrow

He is lovely! Can't wait to see him settled in. U must be so pleased!
Which female do u have in mind for him?? Early days I know!

Well glad to report that our male is settling in nicely which is really good, we weren't very impressed by the packaging that the fish arrived in as there was no heat pack included so the fish was pretty cold when he arrived so I don't think we will be buying from that ebay user again, there was no stickers on to explain to mr postman that he was delivering live fish just a caution sticker was expecting more for the money we paid really postage wise the fish is lovely.

Maybe you should name the seller. Or pm me it! Am shopping on eBay & don't want first experience to be a dead fish!

Well I am going to have a switch around tonight of my males in the hope that one of them might start building a bubble nest and am so pleased my new male is settling in nicely think I might see how my super delta does in the nano tank

to be honest lorna i am a little disapointed that you haven't named and shamed the e-bay seller as it would have safeguarded all of the forum members from the problems and possible disapointment of a dead arrival
however i do like the look of this new white male of yours
even though it is a betta!! lol

I know what you mean ian for all those who are interested the ebay member was sexfasciata (2920 ) you can pay extra for a heat pack but we didn't actually know this at the time so if you do use this member please remember to ask for a heat pack

I know exactly what you mean ian I was just waiting on a reply from the ebay member before I named and shamed but to be fair I should have checked the advert before purchasing it just so happens we had an awful lot going on the day we won the bid so just paid for it you know what it's like

ok no problems lorna just nice to know for future as I would have been the same as you and probably not noticed that the heat pack wasn't automaticaly included

I know what you mean personally I would have thought that a heat pack would come as standard when transporting live fish especially through the post.

Have just ordered my new hm from Portugal. He coming Thursday...hope he travels well as its a long journey!

It's been so hard to find the right fish! I even considered finzntails but could not bring myself to pay £25 & £15 postage!!!
Think they are uk based too!

I know what you mean I had looked on finzntails too at a black male but they wanted £50 then £15 p&p so thought it was a little on the high side, I hope he arrives early for you too but I bet you can't wait.
