as you all know i have been having a touch
of bother well got my filter still running in another
tank so will have a mature filter and hopefully
my other one will be well on its way so i'm resetting
my first tank up with sand as a substrate and when
i get everything moved in to there i will rip my other
tank down and do that with sand as well i will let you
know i get on

hope so Mr G other wise i will be very angry

slow start this time more plants less co2
and see how it goes mind you the pH was
reading right so there cant of been to much
co2 but once more

I have never had so much bad luck with starting up again. I've washed some sand and put a good layer in about 2". I've filled the tank up with cold water through the HMA filter. Put the heater back in and the filter plus a piece of bogwood and redwood which is floating. I'm not going to be in a hurry to put fish in at the moment as i'm a bit apprehensive of buying fish.

well the bog wood is still floating :atomic:
so i dont think plants and fish will be going
in today looks like our lass will be getting the
drill out and brass screws and we will be sorting
some slate

well all my tanks now seem to have settled
with water changes and fannying about
they are all looking ok now so might think
about putting a bit more stock in after the new year

Bristle noses would be nice in both tanks. The stats are back to normal which i'm glad about. The tanks badly need a clean up crew.
