sump...
ok so tonight we decided to make a start putting the new tank together but we got a few issues we need clearing up if u can...
first... if we drill these all along the hood will that be enough ventilation??
second... what are these for?? they dont seem to fit to anything...
third... this is the sump tank and weve figured the water is gunna go into the corner where the 2 valves are but y the big section at the back and y the valves when nothing seems to connect to them either?
and lastly...this is the sump inlet is this how it should be? i know the pipe needs to b highter up but for the moment its not on properly while were figuring it out.
oh and do i need ventilation drilling into the cabinet for oxygen to get into the sump tank or will that be ok?
any and all help would be much appreciated.

Re: sump...
do you have a side pic so i can see the layout of each section like were the pipe is in the configuration that might help
Re: sump...
Hi Michelle, Sorry can't help with the sump layout, but don't get too hung up on "ventilation" as a couple of air stones in the tank and the sump will do the trick. if the sump is to be a large biological filter remember the bacteria need oxygen too, so air stones as the water enters the sumo and air stones on the return to the tank to replace the oxygen the bacteria has used.
Hope you find this info useful.
