There is something wrong with my fish!! please help

My small oranda keeps trying to swim but is just floating and keeps going on its side < what is it and what should I do < i think it may be swim bladder but not sure !!!!

It sound like it is swim bladder katy but I will find someone who knows a bit more about this and get them to put a post on for you just bear with me.

if its swimbladder ther is a remedy that if you feed it green peas it can help it if the fish is constipated it can cause it or high nitrates also causes it do a water change as it will help

we did one yesterday and he was fine when we fed them at 7 oclock < should we try frozen daphinia or something

Apparently if you thaw the frozen peas and feed them to him that should help apparently some scientist in america swears by it katy but I am sure one of the more experience fish keepers will be on tomorrow which may help more sorry we couldn't be of much help tonight.

hi katy what do you feed your oranda on and how often ?
as floating pond pellets hold air in them so that sometimes holds in there belly like when you eat loads of beans lol.like gulps of air
try feeding the the dahnia as that sinks or sinking pellets also just feed then 6 days a week instead of 7 that gives there digeastion system a rest also if they are still hungry they will clean any food thats laying in the tank which helps keeping the tank cleaner

We feed them king british goldfish flakes and once a day, but now going to start mixing in frozen through the week- they love it! we fed them the daphnia last night and they also have a bit of live plant to nibble at , but so far it all looks good , hes swimming around and not at the top on his side , thank you I think we are gunna go to the pet shop to get more frozen ( how often should we feed them that )

every couple of days for things like blood worm daphnia it just gives them a change in there diet they like lettace as well cheaper than buying plants
