just abit of help

hi all i am going to be setting up a 4ft tank in the near future and am finaly goin to be keeping my first malawi cichlids which i am very excited about so am wanting some info on some, i have been looking on the internet to see diffrent species and have came across the damesoni wounderful fish so if anyone has kept or is keeping them atm then i would be greatful on some if on them like diet what numbers to have if looking to breed tank set up well just everything realy thanks alot..

oooooh very nice. African cichlid from lake malawi,small and easy to care for although is quite agressive plenty of rocks and hidey holes should keep em chilled out.

im goin to start looking for coral sand and stuff any ideas of anything else that will keep a stable ph of about 8.5

yeah with the sand it should be fine but you could also get some crushed coral and add it to the filter.

im gunner get an external and get some air curtains would i just put it in the tank or in the external lol

and could i ad plants orshud i leave them out in this tank

and its fair to say i dont know much but plants i know absoluely nothing about.

if its malawi who are vegitarians mostly they will eat the plants go for plastic if you want to add plants

lmao dude and i was thinking of stacking the rocks into 2 piles make some caves with slate and a pot and a long air stone to create an oxygen flow and what shud i do with the crushed up coral

and a think ill just leave the plants then
