Had a really bad morning this morning thought I had lost my new female fighter but luckily marty found her in the filter so that was good, the male in the cube tank is furiously trying everything to get to the female and not concentrating on building his nest so don't know if I should remove her or not any idea's guy's?

I didn't put female in till nest was made. When he destroyed it I removed her until he rebuilt.

She isn't actually in with him she's in a breeding separator as didn't really want to stress her out by moving her from tank to tank everyday he had previously been building bubble nests probably just more interested in her than building a nest lol good luck with your's though

No I meant I moved her out of his sight completely. No way was he showing any signs of building when he could strut his stuff instead! I figured him dancing about at her was just as stressful as moving her. When I went to move her Back in with him she practically jumped into the net cos she knew where she was going.

Well my male hasn't really built a very big bubble nest but it's a start really so here's hoping that he will continue building it today if not I am going to separate him to see if that helps as he was previously building them when he was on his own let's just see what today brings.

well changed tactic a bit and separated them i put the male into a bucket and he is now furiously making a bubble nest so at least that is good but just as an after thought checked the female and the little mare has jumped out of the breeding trap and has now taken over the cube lol cheeky little minx she is.

Thanks hun he's obviously fussy wanting to be in a bucket instead of a tank typical male lol, going to try him tomorrow with the female but we have been so busy this week no time for anything but that's the way it goes so hopefully may have an update tomorrow, but once I took him out of the tank the little minx female jumped out of the breeding trap and now has a tank to herself lol they are funny fish

Well my little male has been furiously building his little nest and it's quiet large now will have to take some photo's and put them on for people to see, never quiet got the chance to put the female in today but it will give me an extra chance to take the photo's which is a bonus I suppose so tomorrow is the big day so we will see what happens.
